Pennisetums are great annual grasses in my zone 6 garden. Marie's Garden
has been growing and selling 'Rubrum' for years now, and we are excited to be
adding two additional varieties, 'Sky Rocket' and 'Burgundy Giant'. These
grasses are wonderful in the landscape and also in containers. Best in full sun.
'Rubrum'- Striking, beautiful burgundy foliage topped by pinkish plumes from
mid-summer to frost. Not hardy, but will attain full size in one season. Height:
48-60 inches, zone 10
'Sky Rocket'- White and green variegated foliage with pink blooms in late
summer. Height: 24 inches, zones 9-10
'Burgundy Giant'- Beautiful, wide, wine-colored foliage with burgundy plumes
from mid-summer to frost. Height: 48-72 inches, zone 10
